August Lakes is a water sports development that is situated on 128+ acres in Northwest Katy. The subdivision is expected to be comprised of a total of 55 homes. 33 that will have lakefront property and 22 without. Homes in August Lakes are required to have minimum square footage of 3,000 square feet and each lot in the neighborhood is a minimum of one acre. August Lakes is a luxury home development, and homes prices start at the low one-million range.
The August Lakes neighborhood has a privacy wall and is gated. It features two water sports lakes, each 10-13 feet deep, and the lakes are stocked for catch and release fishing. August Lakes has no MUD taxes, but the homes do not use septic tanks, instead, receiving water from a private POA water plant - and a monthly bill for powering the electric to that plant. Unlike most acreage homes in Katy, August Lakes offers high-speed fiber internet access.
