A small, tucked away enclave of a little over 50 homes which began building in 2002 just off Avenue D, Whispering Lakes is central to everything in the heart of Old Katy. Houses in this neighborhood typically range between the low-300s to the mid-500s and have healthy square footage - averaging four bedrooms and three bathrooms with an overall living space of about 3,600 square feet. As the name suggests, the neighborhood features two stocked lakes in the center of the development.
The Katy Proper neighborhood borders the northern edge of the VFW park and is about a mile from Mary Jo Peckham Park and the City of Katy Dog Park and is a few minutes drive away from many retail, dining, and entertainment establishments. It's also zoned to the acclaimed Katy ISD.
